The Los Angeles Sonic Odyssey (LASO) features elegant and provocative concert electronic and computer music with works by some of the foremost composers of today….
Including works by Patricio da Silva (turning heads for his instrumental works in Europe and the US), Christian Eloy (Director of SCRIME in Bordeaux - Studios de Création et Recherche en Informatique et Musique Electroacoustic, based in Bordeaux, France and member of the GRM in Paris), Joseph Larralde and Laurent Maza (emerging French composers), Jennifer Logan (LASO Director), and internationally regarded American composers Curtis Roads and Carl Stone.
Works are sonorous, rhythmically full of life, luxuriously webbed melodically, harmonically, and texturally, with stunning detail in multiple temporal levels. Inside the intoxicating acoustic space of Neighborhood Church, works are interpretively diffused live by Jennifer Logan, surrounding the audience with sound from twelve state-of-the-art loudspeakers in a unique and captivating experience of contemporary music.
